There is a tendency among modern people and I include myself in this to believe that if we understand something we have solved it. In social conflict that is not the case you actually have to do something
It just struck me as it often does when reading about things like the holomodor or people talking about we know why World War III is about to happen or the coming civil war or this that or the other that there is sort of the sense that oh okay it's been discussed we understand it but it's all going to happen to somebody else but we've kind of solved it by understanding it.
Nope.
It's an easy trap to fall into but understanding it does not solve it. Only taking action solves it.
