I thought the guys I hung out with in HS were my friends. But senior year, I achieved some sports recognition and then was shunned sneeringly by them.

Also, two years after graduation I see a guy from HS that told me back when in HS, the prettiest girl in the school- cheerleader, volleyball, track girl, Olivia Newton John level stunner- used to compliment my physique to him. A few months later saw a different friend from HS, bragged that the fox had said nice things... and he said, "She had a crush on you. You didn't know?"

Had no GF or dates in HS, you'd think a friend might pass tell you if the stunning tall beautiful gal said something nice about you or give encouragement or something? They all wanted her themselves so not only concealed it, but probably nuked me as well?
